Hillary To Get 2016 Nod from Bronx Dems

In an exclusive interview with City & State Assemblyman Marcos Crespo, Chair of The Bronx Democratic County Committee, said that Hillary Rodham Clinton will be the organization's choice for the Democratic Party nomination for president of the United States.

"We will be announcing our endorsement of Hillary Clinton in The Bronx." Crespo told Editor-at-Large Gerson Borrero.

Crespo stated that: "We should be coming out with our formal announcement this week."

As for why Hillary and not Bernie Sanders or the other candidates? "I strongly believe that a woman is ready to lead this country. I believe that and I think that she's prime," he said.

"I want somebody with experience. I think Hillary has that experience. I think she's capable of leading." Crespo added.

In making his case for Clinton, the Bronx County leader had critical words for President Obama, specifically saying he has broken his promise to pass immigration reform.

Crespo also denies that he was pushed into this endorsement by Borough President Rubén Diaz, Jr., explaining that the earlier dispute between the two was simply about going through a full process.
